Our friend and video partner Jason Willis was recently commissioned to create a music video for “Can’t Play Dead,” from The Heavy’s new record “The Glorious Dead.” He was afforded—more or less—full creative license to create whatever spooky mayhem he desired. And his desires were completely awesome; the stop motion, music video turned out spectacular.

It was even featured in an article on Entertainment Weekly’s website wherein guitarist Dan Taylor affords Jason well-deserved credit in the video’s mastery:

This video is really all about the genius and dedication of animator Jason Willis from Arizona. We stumbled across a beautiful film of his called “Halloween on YouTube” made on his iPhone and immediately fell in love. We just had to track him down.

You can learn more about the project on his website and he also published a Flickr photo set of production and behind-the-scenes shots.
